Canadian Artist Tracy Walker Expands Collection with Paperblanks
Paperblanks, the vancouver Canada based journal publisher with a focus on notebooks with elaborately printed covers celebrating world art, history and crafts just released their second collection of journals highlighting a Canadian Artist.
Paperblanks calls these notebook collections highlighting Canadian art; Art of the North. The first artist treated to the Art of the North treatment was Canadian print maker Alistair Macready Bell.
Paperblanks chose four child and adult friendly mid-century inspired animal images by Tracy Walker; An elephant, a fox, an adult Robin with its chick and a Whale in love.

The Journals are available in two sizes: Midi (4-3/4 x 6-3/4 Inch) and Mini(3-3/4 x 5-1/2 Inch). All styles have rounded corners, an elastic band closure and storage pocket on the inside back cover. Paperblanks continues to make its good paper quality even better with 85 gsm weight paper, a lot of the competition is using 60-70 gsm for regular journals. All journals are available in lined paper and the journals with the Elephant and Whale covers are also available in blank paper. Journals are smythe-sewn and open flat.
These journals make a great vacation or travel journal for kids especially because of the strength of the Paperblanks binding, that will stand up to rougher treatment. That said the art of Tracy Walker definitely brings out the kid in everyone and especially adults with an affinity for mid-century inspired design are sure to appreciate the joyful simplicity of Tracy Walker's artwork.
