Paperblanks Mira Botanica Journal Collection

Paperblanks Mira Botanical journal collection features a handsome cover design based on the 16th century Flemish script illustartor Joris Hoefnagel (1542-1601) Flemish Rose mmanuscript illustration. The cover image is taken from "The Mira calligraphiae monumenta" or Model Book of Calligarphy and is considered as one of the last important examples of European manuscript Illumination. Today this important book can be found in the Getty Museum Collection.  

The Joris Hoefnagel Flemish Rose design captures the thirst for understanding our natural world that was a hallmark of the renaissance.
