Travel can move you.  Paperblanks Iron Horse notebooks will broaden the mind and inspire your creativity and expression through not just the beauty of the binding, but the unique story behind it.

The original Pacifica design featured luxurious dark brown leather binding stamped in gold and designed by the American bookbinder Alice Cordelia Morse (1863–1961).  The Iron Horse edition is a reproduction of the original binding for William Seward Webb's renowned travelogue, California and Alaska and Over the Canadian Pacific Railway, first published in 1890.

Alice Morse believed in capturing the soul of a story through the intricately detailed graphics on the cover. When creating the Iron Horse edition, one can picture her blending train tracks and maps, or the spokes of a compass, seamlessly with her masterful gold stamping techniques.
