Paperblanks Carta Conde
Paperblanks Carte Conde Journal and Guest Book Collection
Musée Condé is located Inside the majestic Château de Chantilly in Oise France. Within its halls lie vast collections of art and a library holding over 1500 antique manuscripts. The museum’s collection includes the Evangelica praeparatione (Preparations of the Gospel), an introduction to Christianity written by Eusebius in the 3rd or 4th century. Euebius’ work is notable for offering a recording of historic and philosophical writings nowhere else preserved. Singular to the Preparations is Pyrrho’s translation of the Buddhist Three Marks of Existence and a summary of the writings by the Phoenician priest Sanchuniathon as well as Diodorus Siculus’ account of Euhemerus’ voyage to the island of Panchaea.
The contents of the Evangelica praeparatione were printed in Paris in 1544 and a special set of bindings were crafted for it in Bologna in 1546 for a total of 15 books. Book 15 in the anthology, featuring elaborate scrollwork and arabesques, that is reproduced here for the Paperblanks Carta Condé Evangeline cover. The Collection includes Paperblanks Hard Cover Journals in 4 sizes and a hard cover Guest Book.
