Paperblanks William Kilburn Floralia 5.5 x 8.25 Inch Dot Grid Hardcover Notebook

Paperblanks Floralia maxi is a durable hard cover notebook featuring a beautiful floral calico floral design by 18th century Irish illustrator William Kilburn. This A5 dot-grid paper journal contains acid free 120gsm paper, three ribbon page markers for easily referencing multiple pages, index page and page numbers.

William Kilburn was the artist behind the amazing illustrations in William Curtis' "Flora Londinenis" an important 18th century English botany book. Kilburn was also a designer of calico textile prints. He combined his gift for illustration with a sense of artistic freedom combining flowers and plants from both land and ocean.

The reason his work feels familiar to a modern audience is his influence on the arts and crafts movement and the fact that his work is widely copied both in his own lifetime and today. William fought unsuccessfully for copyright protection for artists and illustrators during his lifetime but laid the groundwork for copyright protection for artists as we know it today.

Paperblanks Floralia dot grid bullet notebook is an invitation to find enduring beauty and organization in simplicity.
