Paperblanks Ultra Angelou Caged Bird 7 x 9 Inches Journal
Paperblanks Ultra Maya Angelou, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings 7 x 9 Inch Lined Journal
Paperblanks worked with the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture and the New York Public Library to create a Journal to celebrate one of the World's great Poets and Authors and a National treasure Maya Angelou (1928-2014).
An excerpt of her original manuscript for "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" graces the cover of the Paperblanks Ultra, 7 x 9 inch large hard cover journal. The magnetic flap closure shows Dr. Angelou signature. On the back cover of the book is a line drawing of birds fleeing a cage.
The manuscript page used for the front cover of the notebook captures the moment where Angelou and her brother Bailey arrived in Arkansas.
Maya Angelou's was a trail blazer not just in bringing the black American experience to a huge audience, but also by paving the way for a new generation of black artists and authors. Find your voice and courage to speak and write within the covers of this magnificent notebook
